We define conflict-affected and high-risk contexts as regions affected by armed conflict, fragile post-conflict situations, or weak or absent state authority and security structures. These may include failed states, areas experiencing political or social unrest, and regions where violations of international law, particularly human rights violations, are widespread or systematic. Our definition is informed by the relevant approaches and guidance of the European Commission.

Which legal and regulatory frameworks guide your work on human rights due diligence?

Our work is tailored to the legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to your company. These may include the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG), the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), and the EU Forced Labour Regulation.
